History of development

  • 1954: Dai Phong started as a famous bakery in the South of Vietnam
  • 1975 – 1985: made bread and traded flour domestically.
  • 1986 - 1999: Imported and traded wheat flour; imported Japanese flour. Key suppliers were Nippon, Chiba, Nitto, Toridge…
  • Dai Phong is the largest private flour miller in Vietnam.
  • 2000: Inaugurated its first flour mill in Tra Noc Industrial Park, Can Tho City with a capacity of 150 MT/day; incorporated to become an LLC
  • 2004: Established Intermix to produce premix flour.
  • 2006: Constructed wheat silo system with capacity of 16,000 MT; upgraded the mill’s capacity to 180 MT/day
  • 2012: Showa and Itochu invested in Intermix as joint venture partners
  • 2013: Started construction of the 2nd flour mill with total design capacity of 550 MT/day (two lines: one 300 MT and another 250 MT); Constructed a wheat silo system with capacity of 18,000 MT, raising total wheat storage capacity to 34,000 MT
  • 2015: Completed and operated the 2nd flour mill with one installed production line of 300 MT/day. Total capacity was increased to 480 MT/day; Achieved ISO 22000:2005
  • 2016: Achieved HALAL Certificate (required to export to Muslim markets)
  • 2017: Achieved FSSC 22000 certification scheme
